Still alive

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

Yeah, I’m still alive, just been busy with IRL stuff. Haven’t had much of a chance recently to post anything, not that much is going on that’s really all that interesting anyways…

I recently finished Eve no Jikan and Elfen Lied, so I’ll probably post an article or two about those and maybe some other random stuff that I’ve seen in the news lately.

Belldandy Revived
As you can see from the above image, Belldandy is finally revived! It took me a couple months but I finally did it. Hopefully I’ll have some time over the weekend and will be able to get the RO server back up and running. Still a lot of work to do on it but I’m glad that it’s finally operational and semi-working the way I want it to.

I’m waiting on the arrival of a SATA Y-splitter to hook up the last 1TB hard drive that I have. My stupid power supply only has 4 SATA connectors… Ah well, I never thought I was gonna end up with 5 hard drives when I first built this PC.

Belldandy 1
So I finally got around to working on my desktop, Belldandy, and get it up and running again. It was running Windows XP Professional SP2 before, but it was running really sluggish from all of the use that it got from me doing everything that I do. Several weeks, or I guess months now, I decided that I wanted to reinstall the operating system to make it more stable for users and for myself.

Lack of Updates

Wednesday, November 4th, 2009

Sorry about the lack of updates recently. Both family and school have taken up a very large amount of the free time that I used to have. I’ll write up a post later on explaining some of it, but I’ll just do a quicky post right now as just a little bit of an update.

  1. I’ve kind of stopped watching anime for now, see list item #. Doesn’t mean I won’t watch any more, I just need to find time to.
  2. My grandmother passed away about a month ago now, so I was mentally crazy for a bit and had to catch up on school work that I missed when I was in South Carolina.
  3. I’ve been playing more games recently to keep my mind occupied with random nonsensical things. L4D+TF2+Eufloria = win, L4D2 looks great when I have money to buy it.
  4. My desktop is partly disassembled and I’m trying on getting Windows 7 or Windows 2008 R2 installed on it, but the BIOS doesn’t seem to want to recognize the DVD Drive when it boots or the DVD Drive doesn’t like the DVD, even though it works fine on my laptop.
  5. Classes have me swamped with work between normal homework, projects, essays, etc. 6 classes on Monday and Wednesday is a killer.
  6. etc. etc. etc.
